Just a couple light-hearted questions:
If I could turn back time… ~ Cher
(too soon?)
Forgive your enemies, but never forget their names. ~ John F. Kennedy
(on point.)
Mistakes are always forgivable, if one has the courage to admit them. ~ Bruce Lee
(when hell freezes over, or pigs fly… whichever comes first.)
I read something this morning that told me that human nature tells us to hold a grudge or get even. Forgiveness is a choice, and it doesn’t happen automatically because it isn’t usually an easy one for most people.
Forgiveness does not free them from responsibility or make it ok, but it should free you from anger.
Forgiveness is NOT a sign of WEAKNESS. It takes a strong person to be gentle enough to forgive. Grace and Mercy go hand in hand with forgiveness. I believe it’s my responsibility to give them both, and in turn, to forgive.
I think we will all have a lot more to learn about forgiveness before the next four years are up.
I think in order for us to not completely lose our minds and our souls, we have to find a balance of fighting for what’s right and forgiving all of the wrongs that is being done.
Always forgive your enemies – nothing annoys them so much. ~ Oscar Wilde
